THE WHAT? Shiseido has announced a series of changes among its corporate officers’ roles and responsibilities.

THE DETAILS Norio Tadakawa has been promoted from Chief Supply Network Officer to Chief Operating Officer for the Japan Region, while Akihiro Miura will step into his shows as Acting Chief Supply Network Officer.

Meanwhile, Nicole Tan joins the company as Asia Pacific Region CEO and President, Shiseido Asia Pacific, charged with developing and executing the strategic vision for the company’s operations in the region.

THE WHY? “We are extremely excited to welcome Nicole to the Shiseido family,” said Masahiko Uotani. “Her deep and wide understanding of the beauty business in the Asia Pacific region along with her motivational, inspiring leadership are a perfect fit for Shiseido. With these qualifications, she will help take not only the Asia Pacific Region but the entire Shiseido Group to the next level of success as the first female Regional CEO.”
