THE WHAT? Kohl’s has announced the appointment of Dave Alves as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective April. 

THE DETAILS As part of his new role, Alves will be responsible for Kohl’s enterprise operations including its nearly 1,200 stores, global supply chain and distribution centers, real estate portfolio, purchasing, sustainability, risk management and compliance functions.

THE WHY? With Kohl’s said to be embarking on a period of elevation, Alves has been lauded for his retail background in department stores U.S. and global markets.
