THE WHAT? Speculation is swirling around AmorePacific’s succession plan. The K-beauty behemoth’s CEO designate, Suh Min-jung has taken a year’s leave kickstarting rumors that she could cede the top job to her younger sister.  

THE DETAILS The heir apparent has also divested a series of affiliate stakes, while the Chairman’s younger daughter, Suh Ho-jung has been gifted 672,000 common shares and 1.7 convertible preferred shares in the firm, bringing the sisters’ stakes in AmorePacific to similar levels.

THE WHY? The reason behind Suh Min-jung’s sabbatical has not been disclosed. It’s thought that her father has concerns over her management performance.
